Volunteer

Why Volunteer?

"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Margaret Mead, social anthropologist

Volunteer Opportunities

Construction We need volunteers every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is possible to work partial days. You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer for general construction at our worksite. Both skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome! We promise that you'll have fun, meet great people, learn about construction and feel good about the time spent helping others. Bring your lunch and wear appropriate clothing. We provide water, snacks and coffee.

We welcome all ages for other volunteer efforts.

Store We always need volunteers to help out in our Habitat Store. From organizing, cleaning, repairing and pricing materials, to helping customers each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, we welcome those who are willing to help raise funding for our Habitat houses.

Committees Kittitas County Habitat for Humanity carries out its work through operating committees that endeavor to meet Habitat's goals. Committees are: Building, Church and Community Relations, Family Services, Family Support, Land Acquisition and Contracts, Resource Development and Adminstration. To learn more about the purpose and responsibilities of each committee and how to get involved see the Committees section on the About Us page .
