The Habitat Store sells both new and quality surplus building materials and home improvement items to the public at a fraction of expected prices. Proceeds from every sale support Habitat's mission to build homes in Kittitas County. And, whether you shop or donate, your support keeps surplus goods out of landfills.
During business hours, the Habitat Store accepts donated new and almost new building materials; clean, unbroken, complete home improvement items; electric appliances; and furniture free of stains, rips, breaks, tears or odors. We also provide pick-up service for large or heavy items. The list below details the items we can and cannot accept, and please be aware the list changes with supply and demand.

Materials Needed
We will gladly provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
| Cabinets, vanities | Up-to-date, undamaged. All doors and drawers must be in stable, working condition and have all hardware. |
| Trim | Nails removed. |
| Mirrors | |
| Countertops | Minimal damage only. |
| Appliances | Electric, free-standing only. Refrigerators less than 10 years old. Sorry, no microwave ovens, no range hoods. |
| Flooring | New carpet, vinyl, linoleum, ceramic tile, hardwood. Minimum 25 square feet. |
| Doors | All types in good condition, except garage doors. Exterior preferred. |
| Electrical | Wire, fixtures, fans, etc. Large donations welcome. No heaters. |
| Hardware | Hinges, locks, cabinet pulls, knobs, nails, nuts, bolts. |
| Lumber | At least 5 feet long. Plywood minimum 1/2 sheet. |
| Paint | Fresh. Especially white and neutral colors. Cans that have been frozen cannot be accepted. |
| Plumbing | Fixtures, supplies. Currently not accepting toilets (we're overstocked). No bathtubs. |
| Roofing | Full bundles or rolls only. No scraps. |
| Sheetrock | Minimum 1/2 sheet. |
| Tools | Power tools, hand tools. |
| Furniture | All kinds without breaks, tears, odors or stains, except desks that require assembly. |
| Windows | No larger than 3x4 feet. Preferably vinyl, in good condition. No aluminum. We accept shutters. |
| Lighting | New fixtures only. |
| We cannot accept | Wood-burning stoves, heaters; mattresses or box springs; bathtubs, sinks, toilets, shower doors; microwaves, gas appliances, built-in stoves, range hoods, small kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils, garbage disposals, trash compactors; personal electronics, sports/workout equipment; desks that require assembly; garage doors, openers; aluminum windows; oil-based paint or stain, tar; curtains, drapes, rods; wallpaper; books, clothing or baby items;. |
